We have two temples closer to us but nothing compares to the “extras” available around the Mesa Temple. The Visitors’ Center, Distribution and Deseret Book, Pioneer Park, Backyard Taco… made for a perfect day-trip to see the Christmas lights and attend the temple! I wish all temples had a visitors’ center like this. Family-oriented and inviting, instructional and interactive. This was a perfect reprieve for young kids during a long day while parents took turns attending the temple. There are quiet rooms to sit and read, hands-on activities, a family history center, missionaries to answer questions you may have, and just an overall peaceful environment. The Christmas nativity display was fascinating and inspiring (all nativities were donated!) and we’d love to make this excursion an annual tradition. Worth the 5.5-hr roundtrip drive!
My friend took me to see the Temple as I have not ever been there. The landscaping is beautiful and serene. We did not go inside, but it is majestic from the outside.
I was so excited to go in and learn more about Mesa and a beautiful temple in the city. What a wonderful place and wonderful helpers in the visitor center. I highly recommend this for all age family members to come and see what it's all about. Such a wonderful way to connect to ancestors and to the community.
We love visiting the Mesa Temple Visitor center. There's an awesome play area for kids AND they do Bible Story Puppet Shows! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. There's even a kitchen area with tables and chairs to eat lunch if you're grabbing food before or packing a lunch to bring along. Great place to spend a morning or afternoon!
It was an awesome experience. I learned so much about the Mesa Temple from volunteers that are there for the sole purpose of answering our questions. It is very kid friendly and interactive for the kids. 10/10 would recommend.
It’s definitely a modernized visitors center (feels like walking into a store or a church mall.) We sure do miss the old original one a lot more especially the Christ statue, but we are grateful that we still have a center for all visitors. Something that I like about the new one is the play area for the kids.
The temple grounds were closed so my wife and I figured we would go and check it out. And we’re so glad we did! They have so many exhibits going over the history of Mesa and how the temple plays it’s part in the that history.
On the second floor there were beautiful and interactive exhibits that helped my wife and I talk about how we can be better people.
I left feeling better than when I came in and I’m grateful for this place.
Our family really enjoyed our visit here. We were able to search our family history and see famous people that we're related to. The missionaries here are super helpful and nice.
